The Tecno Phantom V2 Flip, the anticipated successor to the Tecno Phantom V Flip, has recently appeared in FCC filings, revealing significant updates poised to enhance user experience. Among the notable changes is the shift from a circular display to a more conventional rectangular display. While this may seem a less exciting aesthetic choice, it is expected to offer greater practicality by accommodating a wider range of apps and widgets.
Regarding camera technology, the new model will continue to feature a dual-camera setup, though specific details about the cameras remain undisclosed now. However, a major upgrade has been made in the battery department: the Tecno Phantom V2 Flip is designed with a split battery system, consisting of a main 3,310mAh cell and a secondary 1,180mAh cell, culminating in a total rated capacity of 4,490mAh. This significantly increased from the 4,000mAh battery in the original V Flip. Furthermore, the new model supports faster charging at 70W, compared to the previous model’s 45W.
The device, identified by the model number Tecno AE11, has also been spotted on Geekbench sporting a Dimensity 8050 chipset, indicating robust performance capabilities. It offers a memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, possibly as its sole option, similar to its predecessor.
While Tecno has not officially commented on its upcoming foldable, the FCC certification suggests that the new Tecno Phantom V2 Flip launch could be imminent, signaling an exciting development for foldable technology enthusiasts.
