Samsung Galaxy S24 FE: Charging Might Disappoint You

The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 FE could hit the market as early as this month, with the latest rumours suggesting an October release. The device recently cleared the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification, revealing support for 9W reverse wireless charging, a feature that adds user convenience.

However, the Galaxy S24 FE’s wired charging capabilities may disappoint some fans. According to a new certification by TUV, the device will offer a maximum charging speed of 25W—identical to its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE. This means that the S24 FE will again miss out on Samsung’s faster 45W charging option, likely due to cost-cutting measures.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S24 FE is set to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chipset. However, this won’t be the standard version of the chip. Instead, Samsung has opted for a downclocked variant to manage cooling more effectively or to reduce costs. This choice could result in a noticeable performance difference between the S24 FE and the standard Galaxy S24.

The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to have a similar design to the S23 FE, especially from the back. Samsung might retain the familiar design, but new color options could distinguish the S24 FE. These new colors may help the Galaxy S24 FE stand out from its predecessor in the market. As the launch approaches, seeing how Samsung positions the S24 FE will be interesting. The updates and changes may determine how well the Galaxy S24 FE resonates with consumers.
