The Poco M6 Plus 5G is poised to be the latest addition to the Poco smartphone lineup, following the launches of the Poco M6 Pro 5G in August last year, the M6 in December, and the M6 Pro 4G in January. Recently certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the new device, bearing the model number 24065PC95I, appears ready for its Indian debut, potentially within this month—hinted by the 24 for the year and 06 for the month in its model number. However, such timing isn’t always precise.
The upcoming launch was further hinted at with its appearance in the Google Play Console, revealing specifications that mirror those of the M6 Pro 5G, including a 1080×2460 screen resolution and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM. This similarity has led to speculation that the Poco M6 Plus 5G could be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R, released last month in China.
Despite the close resemblance to its sibling, the M6 Pro 5G, the exact distinctions between these models remain unclear. The Poco M6 Plus 5G’s launch will hopefully clarify the strategic positioning of this new entry within the broader Xiaomi product family, offering perhaps subtle but meaningful differences.
