Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL PTA Tax in Pakistan 2026

Google launched the Pixel 10 series in August 2025. Every phone brought into Pakistan from abroad has to be registered on the PTA DIRBS system before it works on a local SIM. The tax is set by FBR and depends on the value it assigns to the model, and on whether you register with a CNIC or a passport. Below is what each of these phones is currently taxed, according to phoneworld.com.pk (checked on 1 October 2026).

PTA Tax Rates, 2026

ModelCNIC Tax (PKR)Passport Tax (PKR)
Google Pixel 10Rs. 102,000Rs. 81,500
Google Pixel 10 ProRs. 196,312Rs. 158,789
Google Pixel 10 Pro XLRs. 205,641Rs. 179,710

These figures are approximate. The exact duty depends on the value FBR assigns to your model and on the exchange rate, so check your amount on DIRBS with your IMEI before paying. Budget 2026-27 kept sales tax at 18% (25% for phones above $500). In September 2026 the regulatory duty on imported smartphones was cut by 20%, for example from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 17,600 for phones above $500, so your final amount may be slightly lower than shown here.

The published figures are per model, not per storage size, so check DIRBS if you are buying a particular storage version. One other Pakistani site lists a much lower single "PTA tax" of Rs. 92,887 for the Pixel 10 Pro XL without saying whether it is for CNIC or passport, which is why we rely on the labelled figures above and recommend confirming the exact amount on DIRBS.

How to Check the Exact PTA Tax on Your Phone

Dial *#06# to get the phone's IMEI number, then enter it on dirbs.pta.gov.pk. The portal shows whether the phone is compliant, non-compliant or needs registration, and the amount payable. You can also send the IMEI by SMS to 8484.

CNIC or Passport Registration?

Registration with a passport is available to people travelling into Pakistan with the phone and is taxed at a lower rate than registration with a CNIC, as the table above shows. Check the time limit that applies to you on DIRBS before you travel.

Step-by-Step PTA Registration

  1. Note the 15-digit IMEI by pressing *#06#
  2. Open the PTA DIRBS portal and create an account
  3. Choose CNIC-based or passport-based registration
  4. Pay the amount shown through Easypaisa, JazzCash or a bank account
  5. Wait for the confirmation, which normally arrives within one to two working days

Google PTA Tax FAQ

Is the PTA tax a fixed amount for each phone?

No. It depends on the value FBR assigns to the model and on the exchange rate, so it can change when FBR revises its values.

Can I check the PTA tax before buying?

Yes. If the seller gives you the IMEI, you can look up the exact amount on dirbs.pta.gov.pk before you pay.

Are there other charges on top of the PTA tax?

The amount shown on DIRBS includes the customs duties and taxes. There is no separate PTA fee unless you use a third-party service.
