Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y28e and Y28s smartphones in India today. These two models are almost identical, with only a few differences.
The main difference is the camera. The Y28s comes with a 50 MP Sony IMX852 main camera, while the Y28e has a 13 MP main camera. Both models include a 2 MP secondary sensor. For selfies, the Y28s has an 8 MP front camera, whereas the Y28e has a 5 MP front camera. Regarding memory and storage, the Y28e offers 4GB of RAM with options for 64GB or 128GB of storage. The Y28s offers more choices, with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Both smartphones feature a 6.56-inch 720×1612 90 Hz LCD touchscreen with a peak brightness of 840 nits, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor. They have a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 15W wired charging and are IP64-certified for dust and splash resistance.
The Y28s includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, but the Y28e does not have a fingerprint sensor.
The Y28e is available in Vintage Red and Breeze Green, priced at INR 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model and INR 11,999 for the model with 128GB storage. The Y28s is available in Vintage Red and Twinkling Purple, starting at INR 13,999 for the 4GB RAM model, INR 15,499 for the 6GB RAM model, and INR 16,999 for the 8GB RAM model. Both models will be available from Vivo’s Indian online store, Flipkart, and partner retailers later today.
