A recent update from the well-known Chinese leaker, Digital Chat Station, suggests that Vivo’s subsidiary, iQOO, may not release a Vivo iQOO 13 Pro model. Instead, the company is focusing on developing a highly capable Vivo iQOO 13 prototype that could eliminate the need for a separate Pro version.
This upcoming iQOO 13 is expected to feature a premium “2K” flat display integrated with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and will boast IP68 certification for dust and water resistance. While specific details on other specifications remain undisclosed, the insights provided suggest a mobile device robust enough to render a Pro variant unnecessary.
Echoing a recent trend seen with OnePlus, which has shifted from releasing separate flagship and Pro models to a singular high-end device, iQOO appears to be adopting a similar strategy. The iQOO 13 is anticipated to launch later this year and is likely to be one of the first smartphones equipped with the advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, following the path set by its predecessor.
