An image surfaced on Samsung’s Kazakhstan website showcasing the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, providing a sneak peek into the design of these new foldable devices. While the image only presents a single view, it offers enough detail to discern subtle design shifts from their predecessors.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 appears to have sharper, less rounded corners than the Z Fold5, corroborating a recent live image leak by Ice Universe. Samsung seems to have reduced the bezels slightly, adjusting the cover display to a 22:9 aspect ratio from the previous model’s 23.1:9, without significantly changing the phone’s overall dimensions. The design modifications intended to accommodate this change are unclear, though the sharper corners could be a contributing factor.
The rear camera setup on the Z Fold6 remains largely unchanged, featuring a prominent island that houses three protruding lenses. The new model swaps out the metallic rings around the lenses for black borders, maintaining a consistent aesthetic with minimal updates.
The Galaxy Z Flip6 retains the dual-camera system and folder-shaped cover display of the Z Flip5. However, the new model is expected to feature a slightly larger cover display, increasing from 3.4 inches to 3.9 inches. This change extends the display closer to the cameras, altering its visual proportion and usability.
As Samsung gears up for a July launch of these new smartphones alongside its latest wearables, more details and official images are anticipated to emerge. We will continue to monitor and report on these developments as they unfold.
