As usual, Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025. This will include the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. But in 2026, things might change. Rumors suggest Samsung could stop making the base Galaxy S26 model.
Earlier this year, Samsung did something similar with its tablets. It only released the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, skipping the regular Tab S10. Now, there are talks that the same might happen with the Samsung Galaxy S26. 2026 we might only see the Galaxy S26+ and S26 Ultra, with no base model.
The reason? It seems the regular Galaxy S26 might not compete well against other phones. Chinese brands are planning to release smaller phones with powerful features soon. While the Galaxy S25 base model could still do okay, the S26 might not keep up.
This is just a rumor for now, coming from Ice Universe, a source that’s sometimes right but also known to exaggerate. We’ll have to wait and see what Samsung decides. For now, everyone is focused on the upcoming Galaxy S25 series.
