Realme is set to launch its flagship Realme GT7 Pro on November 4 in China. The device is already available for pre-orders/registrations through online platforms. According to a leak from an online retailer, the phone will start at CNY3,999 (around $560/€520).
The Realme GT7 Pro will feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Additionally, it will come with a new Samsung Eco2 OLED display for an enhanced visual experience. The phone will also boast an impressive IP69 rating for water and dust resistance.
The GT7 Pro will be powered by a massive 6,500 mAh battery with 120W charging. The phone is expected to have three powerful cameras, adding to its flagship appeal. Sources suggest that these upgrades could explain the price increase over its predecessor.
Last year’s Realme GT5 Pro was priced at CNY3,399, making the new model 15% more expensive. This price increase mirrors Xiaomi‘s strategy with its upcoming 15 series and Redmi K80 lineup. Both brands are raising prices by about CNY 600-700 ($100).
Despite inflation in China staying below 1% for nine months, premium smartphone sales are growing. According to IDC, devices priced over CNY3,000 ($500) have seen increased demand in recent quarters. The Realme GT7 Pro launch comes just before China’s Singles Day shopping festival on November 11. This higher price strategy will be tested as buyers choose between flagship models.
