The Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5g has officially made its global debut, bringing a sleek design and some noteworthy tweaks compared to its Chinese counterpart. First introduced in China in May, the global version of the Reno 12 Pro features a switch from the powerful Dimensity 9200+ to the more energy-efficient Dimensity 7300-Energy processor. In a move reflecting recent trends in smartphone packaging, the global package includes just a USB cable, omitting a charger.
The device boasts a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits. However, it’s not just the display that stands out; the phone features quad-curved corners that lend a luxurious feel. Despite the high-end appearance, the preinstalled plastic screen protector feels cheap and sharp to the touch, but it can be easily removed.
The real standout feature of the Reno 12 Pro is its back panel, particularly in the Nebula Silver finish, which showcases Oppo’s unique Fluid Ripple Texture. This design gives the phone’s back a dynamic, satin-like appearance that seems to flow like a curtain in a gentle breeze.
The combination of curved glass on the front and back with a flat frame makes the Reno 12 Pro comfortable to hold and a pleasure to use. This model is a strong contender in the premium smartphone market, blending sophisticated design with practical enhancements.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new release from Oppo.
