In a strategic move to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving smartphone market, Nubia is set to relaunch its Z60 Ultra model, now enhanced with artificial intelligence features and an upgraded chipset. This announcement follows the recent reintroduction of the Red Magic 9 Pro as the Red Magic 9S Pro with an overclocked processor.
Scheduled for a grand reveal on July 23, the revamped Nubia Z60 Ultra will be powered by the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 AC version. This new chipset boosts its Cortex-X4 CPU core to 3.4 GHz and the Adreno 750 GPU to 1 GHz, promising enhanced performance.
Originally launched in December 2023, the Z60 Ultra was among the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. With the AI infusion, Nubia aims to modernize the device, capitalizing on the growing trend of AI integration in smartphones.
The company is marketing the updated Z60 Ultra as the most powerful Ultra on the market. A bold claim, especially considering that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has been using the same AC variant of the chipset since early 2024. This upcoming event will not only showcase Nubia’s technological advancements but also set the stage for a competitive comparison with leading ultra models from other tech giants.
