Motorola has launched the new Razr 50 Ultra, an improved version of its foldable phone series. Let’s examine what makes the Razr 50 Ultra special.
The Razr 50 Ultra looks similar to the Razr 40 Ultra but has some important upgrades. It has a strong aluminum frame, a mix of glass and leather on the outside, and a stainless-steel hinge. This model is water-resistant, with an IPX8 rating. It also has a bigger external screen and a new telephoto camera.
Display
The Razr 50 Ultra features a 4-inch external screen with minimal borders and three small holes for the cameras and flash. The screen is sharp, colorful, and smooth, with a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.
Price
The Razr 50 Ultra costs €1,274.18 for the model with 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.
Performance
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, faster than the previous model’s chip. It also has speedy UFS 4.0 storage. The main display is a 6.9-inch foldable screen with the same high-quality features as the external screen.
Camera and Battery
There are two cameras on the back: a 50MP main camera with image stabilization and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom and up to 4x lossless zoom. The front camera is 32MP. The phone has a 4,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
Unboxing Experience
When you open the box, you’ll find a 68W power adapter, a USB-C cable, and a protective case with a leather lanyard. The case needs double-sided tape to stay on the phone, which some users might find inconvenient.
Motorola has made several improvements with the Razr 50 Ultra, including better water protection, a larger cover screen, improved cameras, and faster charging. While some may miss the ultrawide camera, the new features make the Razr 50 Ultra a strong choice for a foldable phone.
