At the forthcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung is set to unveil the latest additions to its audio lineup, the Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. Although the spotlight may predominantly be on Samsung’s new foldable devices and the Galaxy Ring, the new earbuds promise significant upgrades that merit attention.
The Galaxy Buds3 will offer an IP57 dust and water resistance rating, a notable improvement over its predecessor’s IP52 rating. Each bud will feature a single speaker capable of delivering high-quality audio at 24-bit and 96kHz and will include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Despite these enhancements, the battery life with ANC activated remains consistent with the 2021 model at five hours.
The premium Galaxy Buds3 Pro will elevate the listening experience with 2-way speakers and a superior battery life of up to six hours. Both models will benefit from larger charging cases that extend the total listening time to 24 hours for the Buds3 and up to 30 hours for the Buds3 Pro, maintaining the same battery capacity in the Pro case as the previous Buds2 Pro.
An intriguing new feature exclusive to the Buds3 Pro is the introduction of Blade Lights, details of which remain sparse until the official announcement. This feature could potentially add an aesthetic or functional enhancement to the earbuds.
The Buds3 Pro will incorporate Adaptive Noise Control and Ambient Sound technology, which intelligently adjusts the environmental sound level entering the earbuds. The standard Buds3 model will not include these features. Both versions will support the latest Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, Auto Switch, and SmartThings Find functionalities.
Available in Silver and White, further colour options will be added post-launch. While pricing details have yet to be disclosed, it is anticipated that they will align closely with the launch prices of the previous Buds2 series.
As Samsung continues to innovate within the audio technology space, the upcoming Buds3 and Buds3 Pro are poised to offer consumers enhanced features and improved performance, solidifying Samsung’s commitment to delivering premium audio experiences.
