The American mobile and computer maker Apple has confirmed that it will introduce Port C chargers in the iPhone after the European Union (EU) single charger port law.
At the beginning of October this year, the European Union Parliament approved a single type of Port C charger for all mobile phones and laptops. This means that all companies will have to make their devices compatible with Port C chargers by 2024.
Even though most mobile phones right now besides Apple are coming out with a port C charger, it is now confirmed that the iPhone will also be available with the same charger.
Greg Joswiak, Apple’s head of marketing, confirmed at the Wall Street Journal’s technology event, according to CNBC, that the company will also release mobile phones in Port C.
He made it clear that his company will definitely make mobile phones with port C chargers, but he didn’t say when.
People think that next year’s iPhones from Apple will have a port C charger.
Apple releases new iPhones every year in September or by the end of the year. The iPhone 15 will likely have a port-C charger when it comes out next year.
After Apple releases phones with port C, almost every phone will be able to charge through port C.
Apple and Samsung are among the companies that are expected to switch all of their devices to Port C chargers by next year. This will make the dream of a single charger for all devices around the world come true.
There are 27 countries in the European Union, and it is thought that companies will sell devices with the same Port C charger not just in the European Union, but all over the world.
