Vivo has introduced the Vivo Y19s, a follow-up to the Y17s, with several key improvements. The phone features a 6.68-inch screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The display is bright, though it still provides only HD+ resolution. Vivo has placed the 5MP selfie camera inside a punch-hole, a stylish change.
The back of the phone keeps the 50MP main camera for high-quality photos. Vivo has added an RGB LED ring around the camera, which lights up in various colors for notifications. This feature adds a fun touch when playing music as well. Stereo speakers, a new addition, boost the sound by 300% in noisy environments. Vivo has also kept the 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing users to continue using wired headphones.
The Vivo Y19s is built to withstand tough conditions, featuring an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Vivo has designed the phone to be durable, meeting MIL-STD-810H standards for drop protection. The 5,500mAh battery supports long-lasting performance, powering up to 8 hours of gaming or 20 hours of YouTube—however, the phone charges at a slower 15W rate.
Powered by the Unisoc T612 processor, the Vivo Y19s handles everyday tasks smoothly. Vivo has paired the processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable via a microSD card. The phone runs on FuntouchOS 14, based on Android 14, and supports only 4G connectivity.
Vivo offers the Y19s in three colors: Pearl Silver, Glossy Black, and Glacier Blue. The price hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s expected to be affordable. In most regions, Vivo includes a charger, except for units sold in the Philippines and Thailand. With its durable build, fun features, and strong battery, the Vivo Y19s is an excellent budget phone choice.
