Honor has officially revealed the dates for two major upcoming events in China this October. The company will launch MagicOS 9.0 on October 23, which is their custom version of Android 15. This new software promises a refreshed interface along with improved features and capabilities. A week later, on October 30, Honor will debut the Honor Magic 7 series of flagship smartphones alongside MagicOS 9.0.
MagicOS 9.0 introduces several AI-driven features, including the much-anticipated AI Agent. This personal assistant, designed to compete with Apple’s Intelligence and Google’s Gemini, offers an always-on experience to help users manage daily tasks seamlessly. The AI Agent was first showcased at IFA 2024, and a demo video also revealed it on an Honor Magic 7 device with an oval-shaped punch-hole for the selfie camera.
The Honor Magic 7 series is expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. However, there are also rumors that Honor might use the Dimensity 9400 platform for the standard model. More details about the Magic7 series’ specifications and features are expected to emerge as the launch date approaches.
