Android 15 Released, But Not Yet for General Users

Android 15 has officially launched after months of developer previews and public betas. The new version is stable and fully developed but only available to developers. The source code for Android 15 is now available on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). General users and even Google’s Pixel devices do not have access yet. The September update for Pixels is still Android 14.

Google has announced that this Android version will begin rolling out to Pixel devices soon. This includes the newly launched Pixel 9 series, which will get an update in the coming weeks. The update is expected in the coming months for other brands, such as SamsungHonor, and OnePlus. While it was anticipated that this Android version would be available for Pixels in October, Google has indirectly confirmed this timing.

Android 15 Released

Developers can now access the AOSP code and start preparing for the official release. As we wait for broader availability, watch for more updates. Android 15 will eventually reach a wider audience, offering new features and improvements.
