Redmi is about to add another phone to its lineup of affordable smartphones with the upcoming Redmi 14C 5G. This new model follows the Redmi 13C 5G, which came out in December 2023. The Redmi 14C 5G is arriving sooner than expected, showing how competitive the entry-level smartphone market is.
The Redmi 14C 5G has been spotted in an IMEI database, confirming its release is not far off. While it might not be available in the next few days or weeks, it’s coming before December.
This new phone will be sold in China, India, Japan, and other global markets. It’s noteworthy because it’s the first Redmi C-series phone to be released in Japan.
Although there are no details yet about the Redmi 14C 5G’s features, it’s expected to be better than the Redmi 13C 5G. For comparison, the Redmi 13C 5G has a 6.74-inch LCD screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, options for 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage that can be expanded with a microSD card. It also has a 50 MP main camera, a 5 MP front camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The 256GB model with 8GB of RAM costs $219.90.
We expect the Redmi 14C 5G to have even better features and possibly a similar price range. We’ll share more information as soon as we have it.
