Oppo is gearing up for the international release of its Reno 12 series, adding to the tech buzz with the upcoming launch of the Reno 12 F in two distinct versions. This follows the recent listing of the Reno 12 Pro in Europe, which notably features a different chipset from its Chinese counterpart.
Reno 12 F will be available in a 4G-only version and a 5G-enabled model. The 4G variant will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, whereas the 5G model will harness the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Both versions will sport a triple camera setup, including a 50 MP main camera with an OmniVision OV50D sensor, complemented by an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP sensor likely used for depth or macro shots.
Selfie enthusiasts can look forward to a 32 MP front camera utilizing Sony’s IMX615 sensor. A unique feature of the Reno12 F series is an LED ring encircling one of the rear cameras, adding a stylish touch to the device’s design. However, the 4G model will miss out on NFC capabilities, and it remains to be seen if the 5G version will include this feature.
The Reno 12 F is set to hit the Southeast Asian market with a starting price rumored to be at least $300. Prospective buyers will choose among three chic colors: green, orange, and gray, providing options for various personal styles. Oppo‘s launch marks another strategic move to solidify its presence in the global smartphone market.
